The close cooperation with Red Bull, which still exists today, began in 2015 with the development of a mobile app for event planning. Years of excellent cooperation finally led to the commissioning of the resource planning software in 2019.
Together with the Red Bull Mobile Assets team, we planned and developed a tailor-made and highly scalable cloud system for handling the logistical processes for the planning and execution of Red Bull events (e.g. Formula 1, MotoGP, Ski World Cup, etc.).
The automation through RFID support takes the already innovative and modern event warehouse to a new level.
The requirement for our solution was that all processes should be paperless and completely transparent for the entire team. From the project manager on site to the planning in the back office to the employees in the warehouses, a central and modular system is to be developed.
Oriented towards lean management, the workflows must be short and all paths and activities optimized to the maximum.
Web application for the back office
All events and their goods movements are managed in the web portal. The entire article inventory is clearly displayed and facilitates the planning of upcoming and current events. This means that the employees in the back office always know where which parts are located and what will be needed in the near future.
Mobile app for project managers and warehouse staff
With the help of the iPad app, the warehouse crew always has insight into upcoming orders. Through packing lists and returns, every employee knows when which assets have to be picked and loaded, or which are just coming back. If an item is damaged, the employee can also create a damage report and then give it for repair.
RFID scanners and gates support the crew in all processes, which leads to an extreme relief in the daily work. In addition, with the support of the iPad app, the planning or pre-registration of an event by the project manager can also be carried out on the go.
Our solution has achieved 100% of the requested goals: the team can fully concentrate on the event and logistics work and is supported by the software and the associated technical equipment as expected.
With the help of state-of-the-art radio wave technology, RFID for short, picking and storage takes place via RFID scanners and gates. A time-consuming manual counting thus has an end, which also makes the inventory much easier.
From the web portal or the app, new labels can be printed and encoded at any time via the article serial number management, which are attached to the article. From this point on, articles can be located directly via the RFID labels in the warehouse or at events and called up in the app.

Crew Wear Shop
Through the Red Bull Crew Wear Shop, external partner companies and setup crews can order clothing for the team around the clock. The shop is directly connected to the back office system and automatically generates the orders that are then processed by the warehouse.
